Premises Liability

Premises Liability

These types of cases involve injuries suffered in grocery or big box stores, amusement parks, swimming pools, hotels, restaurants or homes. The types of accidents include but aren’t limited to:

  • Slip and falls and trip and falls
  • Falling merchandise
  • Wet floors or spills on floors
  • Poor lighting or no lighting in hallways and walkways or stairwells
  • Uneven walking surfaces
  • Animal attacks
  • Criminal attacks

Obviously, not every injury that occurs on property owned or occupied by somebody else has a basis for a claim. However, victims of premises liability accidents might be eligible for compensation for their injuries though if they can show that the owner or occupier of the premises knew or should have known of a dangerous condition that caused their accident and failed to remedy it or warn of it.
